During the call, we will cover the following:

  • How to use the program to learn best from it?
  • How do I book my 1:1 sessions?
  • Do I need everything I see in the community?
  • How to join LIVE practice every Sunday?
  • How to do the homework?
  • Where do I begin?
  • Any questions you might have

Meanwhile, if you prefer to read about it, I have some information for you below that can help you clarify a lot of things before you dive deeper.
The main focus of the program is to help you SEE the speaking behaviors that prevent you from being clear and fluent in English. You adopted them some time ago without realizing this. Your job is to see them, self-correct, and normalize new speaking behaviors with specific practice routines.
I call these speaking behaviors “patterns”.

A pattern is a mistake that repeats, and you repeat it because you don’t notice it. You can't hear yourself say that.

A pattern can be:
  • a pronunciation mistake
  • a choice of words
  • the wrong choice of grammar
  • the wrong word.
For example, I had a student who kept saying “mention” when he meant “notice”. No wonder people always got confused.

Because this is not a LIVE program, and I can’t show you your patterns in real time, it is crucial that you record yourself and leave comments under the lessons as often as you can. The more I see how you write and hear you speak, the more I can help.

If you only consume the lessons and don’t practice PRODUCING speech (both spoken and written), the program will deliver only 50% of its intended result.

Yes, you will learn a lot of new things, but I personally vote for implementation. I want you to be able to be independent and learn the basic exercises to improve your English that you can use anytime, anywhere.
Summary: do your homework after each class to make the best of the program.

On a side note, if you’re working with an English teacher/coach, you can ask them to give you feedback on your writing/recordings if you don’t want to send your homework in the community. It’s important that someone competent gives you feedback on how you speak/write/listen and helps you track your progress.

Here is how to make the best use of this program:
  1. Do the program in the chronological order. Don’t jump from session to session because the main concepts will be explained in depth as you go.
  2. Do the homework in every session. Post your work in the comments next to each lesson. This way I can quickly reply.
  3. Do NOT skip the assignment in the first sessions - look at your resistance. Examine it. Write it out. There’s no way to make progress unless the resistance has been addressed. If you need help, simply add a comment, and I will help.
  4. You can listen to some of the sessions just as you listen to your favorite podcast. They will challenge your perspective on learning and applying effort. If you listen to any of the sessions on the go, remember to write down (or record) your key takeaways so you practice the two most important skills: CLARITY (in how you organize and articulate information) and BREVITY (saying a lot in few words). We will use your messages later to track your progress.
  5. If you see a link to a community exercise, do it, and leave a comment under the relevant exercise to receive feedback.
What do do after EACH SESSION:
  1. Write down the main idea of the session in one or two sentences and share it in the chat. This will help you practice clarity, brevity, and good memory. Also, we will be able to see the patterns that must be corrected.
  2. Ask yourself two questions:
  • On a scale of 1 to 10, how challenging was this task? (One is “super easy” and Ten is “so difficult that I panicked”)
  • On a scale of 1 to 10, how much joy and satisfaction did the exercise bring?
3.Get into the habit of timing yourself. Start learning how long it takes you to do each exercise.

See the example below:
Here is how you can share your homework:

Session 4.
Challenge - 7
Joy - 8
Took me 30 min.

Main takeaways:
  • My pattern is “pay attention for”. The correct phrase is “Pay attention TO”.
  • My practice for the week: do the Synchronization exercise and pay attention to how “won’t” is pronounced. I keep missing it.
